17" late model wheels on a '01 2500
I've been thinking about running 17" late model wheels on my '01 2500. Anyone out there doing this? How do they fit and look? How about finding 285-70-17 tires?

Here's what mine looks like:

Lately I like them better without the center caps:

Great deal. After selling my 16" wheels. The ugrade to `17" and new tires cost me $150 for all 4. Killer deal considering the BFG tires alone are $200 each at Costco.
The only negative is fewer choices of tires in 17".

I just put a set of polished 17" wheels on my 97. They fit fine with a 285-70-17. I went with Cooper Discoverer STT's. Note, the 17's bring the tires closer to the inner fender well, they don't rub, but I believe if you ever run a larger tire you will probably start having issues with rub. Just in case ya want to know. I like the coopers, there quiet for such a aggressive tire. But when up around 45 or more, they feel a little slow to respond on a quick jerk of the wheel. Also if I steer back and fourth at those speeds the back of the truck feels like it sways or floats. They are a load d insted of e, don't know if thats the difference between my old tires feel.
