Hey guys. I have the 160 pump, and a 3k. Right now It will pull to about 2800rpm, and start sputtering in gear. It revs clean to about 3400rpm in park and then starts sputtering. I have the rest of the springs ordered for the 4k(only $15). I would like to get it to pull to about 3400 in gear if it is possible, but im kind of doubting it. I will be putting some 181's in also(waiting on the DV socket too), so that may help a little, but i dont know. I wonder if maybe my lift pump is a little weak because of the sputtering, because my timing is at 16*, but i almost feel like it is just something the 160 pumped trucks do. So what do you guys think. I dont really want the extra touchiness of the pedal if it isnt adding any rpm's. I guess i can always try it, and see, but was just wanting some opinions... Thanks guys.

You might need more timing, about 20*, to get those extra RPM. The little pumps hate to wrap up!

That being said, my 95 will free rev to 3600, and pull all the way to 3200 in each gear! It's timing is set at 13*, last I checked it!

These 12v's are a bit picky when it comes to tuning
