That was my reasoning when I bought my truck originally too. But I did more reading on here, and most of the top times are posted by 4x4 auto trucks. But the manual trucks are more fun to drive. There is a 6 speed into the 12's now, running through 5 of the 6 gears. I'm sure with a 5 speed, launching out of 3rd, would get some decent times as well. For hooking up at the track, I've found a couple drag slicks by M&H and Mickey T. that are 33x17" and 36x17". Both in 16" rims. Gives some good height so you won't run out of RPM at the end of the track. 17" wide tires might look a bit goofy on a 2500, but would look right at home in some dually fenders. Thats my plan for the track, as soon as I can get a clutch.

Those are the big 4 that I know of. Theres other shops that make them as well, but I don't know of them off hand. Lots of members made their own as well. I was gonna get the pipes from Piers, since I already have the turbos and manifold, an have had good dealings with them in the past. Lots of people like Rip Rook's parts too.
