12v torque plate position

I am building a 1995 160hp(1968 CPL) for a repower. My question is the original plate had been moved all the way forward(looks like stock plate). Should I put the #10 plate I have all the way forward and see how it does or put it midway? I have DDP stage 1's, a HTT 62/12, a 3k GSK, and four inch exhaust. This will be a daily driver and towing my 10K lb. trailer.
Thanks for any input.

The further you slide it forward, the more horsepower you gain. If you're EGTs are in check, why not go all the way forward.

i would start with it around mid-way and see how your egt's are since it is a more agressive plate over the stock one. either way you decide to go it is easy to adjust the plate to put your egt's in check.

Thanks, I will put it all the way forward and keep an eye on the EGT's.
