12v pensacola injectors, must read!
I dont want to sound like i am bashing penacola here, but i think my story needs to be told...
i got a set of the stg. 2, 90hp, installed, and made it almost 3 miles before the num. 5 cyl. dropped, called them, and got another injector shipped. the set made it about 1000mi. then num. 3 dropped, the insert inside the inlet of the injector came loose and beat the heck out of everything it could get to, including my injection line, called again, they sent a complete set of new injectors, installed all 6, fired it up and num. 1 cyl. never even tried to fire. so pulled all out, ordered ddp 90's and no more problems, and runs ALOT better.
since then i have gotten in to building my own injectors, and have had the 12 pensacola injectors sitting on a shelf... today i decided to pull them apart to see what pieces i could salvage, to my my suprise, they look even cheaper than they are, i found press fit parts that are no where near tight, pieces that were discolered in some injectors and not in others, some were assembled with different parts meaning i had to use different tools from injector to injector, and visual problems that anyone with eyes can see,
all i can say, if you want to run these, you might want to get a second set for spares...

I got the DDP2 s in both my trucks,, the 75 HP versions and couldnt be happier with them,,, plus the warranty is very good with DDP as well.
200.00 for cheap ones, or 450.00 for good ones that you know will be good

i tried to get some pics up but cant get anything clear enough to see, i will have to try to find a better camera,
but here is what i found... the injector boddies are two piece, and on the nozzle end, out of the 12 injectors, i founf 7 completely different from each other, had to use three different sockets to take apart a "matched" set of injectors, and some of those were tight and some loose, no actual good fit on any size sockets, there are no part numbers or ID numbers on anything except for an 854 on the upper half of the injector body,
the insert that i explained about before that wiped out my injector and my line, those are crimped into the opening of the injector, but out of the 12, four of them were not crimped at all, not even touched, and one of the inserts fell out in my hand, also there is an alignment washer inside the injector with 2 dowl pins, and when i pulled apart, over half of the pins just fell out on the table, which are supposed to be a press fit, and i base all of these complaints on what i have found different than actual bosch parts.

97 d-tc, if you get board i would pull your injection lines and get a look at those inserts and make sure they were crimped, should look similar to being hit with a center punch, when mine went i just hooked up ot a 10,000lb. trailer and leaving town on a 800mi round trip, tried to get out on the freeway and she blew...... good luck with yours

if you pull the injection line off the injector, and look inside the injector, it looks almost like a plug, with three slots around the edge, i believe the technical term is an edge filter, but not sure, let me know if i can help any more, i will try to get pics if you need.

same here... better milage & power, lower egt, better responce, less smoke, and over all... just alot better, 90hp pensocola vs. 90hp DDP's
also, when i measured, the ddp's are bigger than the pensacola's
ddp 5 hole @ 0.012 pensacola 4 hole @ o.014
