12V injectors

does anybody have injectors that make more power for my truck without all the smoke? My truck has the 180HP pump - originally CA emissions. Does Don M make 12v injectors? My #10 plate is full forward and smokes a little too much already, I will probably back it off a little, especially if I put injectors in.

The only 12v injectors that Don makes are Mach 4s. If you are working on the smoke issue..you might change to a set of 215s.
Don does not make a large range of the 12v injectors because of the cost issue!

Wild Bill:

I would suggest considering a set of 215 12V injectors for your truck. They
will give you more power without alot of smoke. You can call J.P. at "Scheid
Diesel" (Terre Haute, Ind) @ 1-800-669-1593 if you are interested. They can
also build any type of 12 valve injector you want. The 300 marine would
also work I think. The prices have come down alot over the years on the
12 V injectors.

Anyway, give J.P. a call and I know he can help you. Good luck!

WB: The Ca. intake horn with the EGR has a tremendous restriction in it. If you still have the Cat that also will restrict. So when you stomp the go pedal the turbo will come up to speed slower resulting in more smoke. You are probably already aware of this. (The ***** in your court) A nice set of 370s, pull the plate back to stock location or back a tad from that then control the smoke with your foot.

I'd bet the 215s would work nice but I don't know if there would be enough kick from it to make it worth while, IMO I'd go for 300s and adjust the fuel plate if need be.

215 injectors are good for 20-25 HP and are a nice mild increase on a 180 pump. They will not add much to your smoke. Don can custom make a 12v injector if you are really looking for a top notch injector.

Being you are not in California, this is not a tabu upgrade. Find an intake manifold from someone that went to a banks twinram. It will get that EGR restriction killed.

215's are your first choice to uprate injectors.

I have a non-EGR intake manifold laying around that I would sell.

I already replaced the intake with a non-egr stock unit, and the exhaust is 4" turbo back, the truck runs real nice as is, but, you know I need more . I'm running 38-39 psi boost and exhaust temps are easy to keep under 1200, at least with the truck empty, haven't towed anything yet. Smoke is subjective - most people would probably think my truck barely smokes, I just don't want to coat trailers with soot when I put injectors in.

Hey when you changed out the EGR did you set of any codes? I thought it trips one of the sensors and makes the check engine light come on.

The check engine light was already on with an egr system code, so I just removed the light bulb

So far the best performance 12v injectors I've ever installed are made right here in WA. Dynomite Diesel Performance in Monroe. 1-866-774-3966. He has recently come out with 12v injectors for us and they burn cleaner and more powerful than anything I've seen, and I have installed tons of injectors for Seattle area folks.
He used my twin turbo 12v for as the test mule, and they made 55 horse more than my DD3's, the smoke is relatively clean. My 600hp truck smokes less than a 300hp truck, and egt's were no higher too. And best of all, they don't stink at idle! I can hitch a trailer while my truck is running and not stink myself to tears!

Call him, he now has other levels too other than my stage 4's.
I'm about to put a set in my 370hp '95 too and see where it takes it.

I really hate 370's. Just say no to the stink and ungoldy high egt's.

Mike;

I've heard about those new injectors on NWBombers.

Let us know the results in Emily's truck on the smaller units.

John

I'm going to use the same stage4 injectors in the '95. I wanna do a before and after run with the stock 160 pump before I bolt in the 215 pump.

I'm anticipating very good numbers!
