12v drag truck engine build ??
ok guys i picked up a 12v on the cheap for a drag truck build my question is what will the stock crank and rods hold ive heard they will pretty much hold anything but i dont wanna scatter it on the track im gonna be putting a lot of pressure on it with big twins and a lot of nitrous any input is appreciated i have no idea where to go with this thanks

They will hold over 1000hp, but it depends on the nature of the power delivery and WHERE and HOW you are making the power.
If you are lugging at high load and low RPM and hit it with a massive shot of nitrous you should shatter something pretty easily....
Wind it up to keep it alive when spraying...
I'd PM Jetpilot as he's a bunch of experience with NItrous.

i appreciate your honesty that is very cool of you and this thing will be wound tight all the time im gonna hit it with 100-150 shot out of the hole to kick the boost up then spray another 200 shot after hitting second but of course this is just my starting point it will get adjusted a lot im sure but this truck will be trailered to the strip and have the crap ran out of it and maybe once in a while drove down the road but not much if at all 1,000 hp is about what im shooting for its gonna be hard enough to get that to hook
