I would venture to say yes IMO.

Personally, I wouldn't run a press on gear on any p-pump truck...but that's just me. Them things can take a lot of power to turn, and even on a daily driver, I would feel a whole lot better with a bolt on gear!

Well the factory gear is press-on, isn't Formula I the only manufacturer that offers a bolt-on gear? I bet the Helix II is a sweet cam but I just wonder if there might be something a little better for my application...? I am going to get out of the hay business soon so I won't be towing much heavy weight, probably at the most 5k. So I need one for good daily driving that will spool the turbo better and lay down high HP on the dyno and street race better...

Yes, factory is press on, except for marine application, they are bolt on.

Never had any experience with cams...my Helix 2 will be going in as soon as all my parts make it, and will be for daily driving, racing, and some light towing (usually under 10K) I have the bolt on gear, and I believe Don's dealer told me that he recommends anything with a decent p-pump gets the bolt on gear!

I've heard the P7100 can take up to 50hp to run at high RPM and lots of rack travel! That's hard on the cam...which is why I wouldn't run anything with a pressed on cam (other than factory, which SUCKS anyway!)

Having ridden in Joefarmer's H2 equipped truck...it lays down some serious power, and races just fine! 596hp + 6200lb truck = 11.43 in the 1/4!

Again, just my opinion...I'll know more about the cam when it shows up, and I get it installed...but it's going in at the same time as a stage 3 ported head, cool twist IC, new fuel system, and hopefully more fuel!

See I am going to be putting the cam in after my head is all setup after being reinstalled, then I am going to see how far I can take the stock charger on #2 lol. After I get some dyno numbers I'll swap in either the twinset I am contemplatng in my other thread or a good S300 or S400 hybrid, I want to hit 600RWHP on #2 only And hopefully I can do so with atleast decent streetability lol. I am about to call Haisly and ask them about there 12v Street Cam...
