will an 6 speed trans say out of an 02 24v bolt up to my 97 12v?

 

i think you have to use the flywheel and clutch for the six speed, it has a 1 3/8s inch input shaft. but it should work

 

had one in my 97' 4x4 dually, had a donor 02' put in a 6spd. clutch, driveshafts & the crossmember from the 02' otherwise its a pretty straight forward swap, do yourself a favor & get a built 5 spd. alot less trouble in my opinion.......

 

i see you have an auto now... just curious why do you want to go to a six speed instead of a five speed?
