12V 330 Marine VS 370's

I was thinking of looking at some Bosch 330 Marine or 370's for my truck. What results are you guys seeing with these injectors? Pros or cons? Spray angle ok? Im looking for an Injector to go with my current setup. I would like to try not having a huge cloud following me everywhere I go, but I know smoke on heavy right foot is expected. What gains (HP) will I see with either of these. Id appreciate it if you gave this dummy some direction. Thanks...

I have 370's. Bit of haze at idle. They don't smoke unless I get on it hard, then I can loose sight of cars behind.

Added about 70 hp. That was a year appart between dyno runs though.

Dshiftff,

From what I have read here I would go with the 370's. I see in your sig. that you are running a #6 in a 180 horse truck, without gages, you may want to prioritise the install of gages, they do no good in the garage.

D'

I used to have 300's in my truck and switched to 370's. Both seemed to smoke the same and I had similar EGT readings between the two. 370's do pull a bit harder. I'm not sure if you'll see a shudder/stumber issure with 370's and your 175HP pump. The 160 HP pumps seem to be a bit more tempermental. Seeing that your a 5 spd, I'd also put in a GSK. Where in CT are you located?

Im just waiting for a day I have off and isnt 90° out to do the guages, Its coming soon.
I found while doing a search on the TDR, DDP stage II's are the same as 370's But dont haze at idle, and are cleaner overall. Who runs these? $$$? I saw a set of bosch 370's new for 280 on ebay They went off at 12 last night. I was set to buy them but then I saw a comment that there were like 10 part numbers for 370's, so I didnt know if thats why they were such a awesome deal. Cheapest I seen elsewhere is $399! Anyone care to comment on this? VSSman, Whats Up Im in West Haven. If it comes to it Ill get del. valves. Id preffer not to hack my pump setup.

DDP stage 4's don't smoke like 370s and make more power, they do cost more, but they are designed for our engines

If you are looking on Ebay for 370's ect.. Look for a seller called EIS.. They are electronic injection services in Newberg Oregon. They are bombers and sell good parts. I bought some of their 370's and they have the good nozzles. Although I upgraded to Piers Diamond B 370's and they are even better just more $$$.. Just get the 370's and you'll be from ear to ear. The DDP injectors are the best I have heard but they are spendy..

I put them in and WOW what a difference. You must get gauges. They cost $ but will save your truck. Dont start bombing your truck until you can monitor what is happening. If you do a search here on 370s you will find that they are the way to go. I have never regretted my 370s. However the wife always says PEW when its cold outside they do haze when the truck is cold.

Yeah, but out there, isnt it a DRY heat?
Hotmopar, What does piers do to the diamond b's to make em better? less smoke at idle? Would you say there a better all around then Reg 370's? Also do you know the exact name of the co on ebay, I couldnt find them under EIS Thanks..

On edit, Does anyone have the corret P/N for the 370's we want for the cummins?

They still smoke alot but they seem smoother than the regular 370s and they seem to have a little more power too.

Mine shudder down low but are find after 1800 rpm or so. Plan for a set of 191's DV.

The smaller pumps will need either 181 or 191 delivery valves, to feed the 370's. In the 180 pump the 191 delivery valves mostly add fueling at the lower end, = more smoke and no to very small gain in top end HP. The DDP injectors are tops but costly, the DD injectors are next and have dropped their prices and are now competive with the 370's, the 370's are the least costly but do smoke slightly more. If I was to buy some now I would go with the DD injectors, their spray angle is proper and that is what reduces the smoke. Over all I have been happy with my 370's since I installed them 3 1/2 years ago when I first started Bombing. JMO

Electronic Injection Service, go to ebay motors, then car and truck parts then to injectors then type in cummins at the top left and click search and then scroll down to the bottom of the page, they have several things listed at this time. 191dv's and 370 inj. combo for $595.00.
