Re:12s Baby!
what all needs to be done to a 99 24v to get into the 12's and driveable on the roads? getting a DTT put in my truck right now with a 91% convertor and ill have billet input and output shafts! edge drag box, DD3's,mega cannon, pusher pump, gauges, what do i need for a turbo? the stocker isnt going to last to long with this set up will it? well knowing me i will smoke it with my foot! it would be awesome to have a 12's truck and still drive it on the street! way to go BANSHEE!!!!! ;D

Re:12s Baby!
Thanks Rod and Justin!
Bigcumminz,
the really hot boxes haven't been released for the '03s yet. As soon as edge and TST release their big boxes the race will be on. I'm pretty sure you guys will see similar 200+ hp gains to what the Duramax guys are doing from the boxes alone.
Powerwagon,
you're on the right track. The DD3s might not be enough to do it, but the drag comp, a little hotter injector (SMs or hotter) and a PDR 40 should get you really close (you're right... the stock turbo won't last long with all that fuel). Your '99 won't have the defueling issues my '01 does, so the BD RAD box isn't needed. IMO the stacking of the TST and EZ/TTPM/VA boxes yields a little more fuel than the single edge comp, but it's debatable, and it doesn't work as well on all trucks. The only other key item I think is the cam. They really fatten up the powerband and seem to give the truck more pull up top. They help the day to day spoolup and smoke as well. I drive my truck everyday to work, so a 12 sec truck with single turbo is doable!

Re:12s Baby!
Yeah he's serious.
I have seen a Duramax w/just elctronic enhancements and a tranny upgrade dyno almost 500hp.
With 24valve boxes like the TST competition, FMS premium, and Edge Drag/Custom boxes and proper mods you will see up to a 200hp gain IMO. (turbos, manifolds, intake etc.)
Johnner's times and dyno numbers do not lie!

Re:12s Baby!
Johnner,
Your dad phoned and told me about your night at the track. CONGRATULATIONS! Hopefully the track will work out for the dyno day in December and I will be able to make it down to watch that truck of your run.

Re:12s Baby!
Johnner,
Very sweet passes sir. I had the pleasure of running his truck on my dyno and I can tell you the BD RAD and Piers HX 40 both work as advertised. When I see a boost gauge whip, you have spool-up.
Again, congrats and welcome to the 12 second club.
