I have 120hp injectors on a stock turbo and it works great. I also have a boost elbow that is set to 34psi. Spoolup it now and my egt's stay in check. I wouldn't tow much with this type of setup though. Just injectors should be fine for you, but the MAD or any othe chip might be pushing it a bit. Good luck.

What are you running for pyro temps and fuel pressure? Are you running the stock clutch? If so how is it holding up? Do you get a lot of smoke with no boost? Just trying to figure out what it will be like when it is done. I dont want to get it all together and have to order more parts. Thanks for the quick response

My egt's almost always stay under 1200f. Fuel pressure only down to 7 at wot and yes it is the stock clutch. It holds fine and I do git on it hard at times. Just don't try starting in 3rd or slip the clutch too much and you should be fine. At low boost it will make some smoke, but not as much as I've seen a MAD ecm make by its self. hope this helps.

EDM injectors (Don M's Mach series, DD Jammer series) use Electrical Discharge Machining. A precision wire electrode is used to electrically remove metal material from a solid piece of injector tip. This is extemely precise and allows different hole angles and locations as well as sizes.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
He was referring to stock Bosch injectors. When Bosch makes an injector, they use EDM. That's all he was saying.

Now a MODIFIED injector is different.

So, all FACTORY 24V injectors are EDM. Modified injectors you have everything from a top of the line Don M stick to some fly-by night-Ebay honed monsters guaranteed to give tip failure and engine damage.

Are the rv275's edm's? I decided not to go with the 120hp injectors for now. I think I am going to call today and see if I can test the catcher. I have heard a lot of things about it and want to see if it is what I am looking for. I am just trying to get to the 350hp mark with controllable egt's and a stock or slightly modified hx35 turbo. I was thinking that I would be close to that with the 120hp sticks and the catcher. What are some other good combo's to reach the 350hp mark without tapping the wire or spending over $1500 including the southbend clutch?

Yes, the Rv275's are EDMs. You will be bored with them in no time flat. Trust us. Get the big sticks and deal with the rest later as time and money permits.

One of the first trucks that I "modified" resulted in 497 hp with the following parts..

TST PowerMax3
F1 EDM Mach 2.5
PDR HX35/14
Mad ECM

TST was set on level 3 for towing and daily driving and then on level 9 for KILL! EGTs on level 3 and towing was fine with the Scotty II sucking cool air! But on level 9 that little turbo was not enough. The combo also produced 20-21 mpg on the highway..
Great throttle response and driveability!

Rick
P.S. The customer loved it!

Knowing what I know now, I'd go straight to a 150hp EDM like the Don M Mach 4s I have now. Live and learn.

Here is the problem. I have a budget of about $1500-$1700 right now. If I would get the Mach 4s that wouldnt even leave me with enough for a clutch. The way I was looking at it, I would spend about $500 on a mad ecm, about $700 on a south bend clutch, and the rest would go towards injectors or an adjustable box. Since I dont want to tap the wire until I get an aftermarket vp, I was leaning towards injectors. I would love to find a set of used mach 2.5s, buy nobody has any for sale. If anyone knows of any for sale please let me know. I only tow a couple times a month, but when I do it is usually over 14,000lbs and I dont want to have to deal with lifting my foot or downshifting to lower my egt's. If anyone has any suggestions for a good performance setup that wont kill my egt's with a stock or slightly modded turbo please post them or send me a pm. Thanks again

What will the aftermarket VP do for you in regards to tapping the pump wire?

I was under the impression that you can get one built that will outlast the stock replacements.

Hmm not sure about that... from what I gather it's just an ETC cam and ETH plungers.
