12 Valve, Which Turbo To Run????
Got a 1997 Chev Crew Cab with a 12 valve conversion in it. Blew the motor this summer and we pulled it today. We are going to rebuild the motor and o-ring the head. I'm a wondering what turbo to run. The truck has a #0 fuel plate and 50hp injectors. The stocker is way too small. What do you guys think???

What are your plans for the truck?
Towing, racing, pulling, daily driven?
Any more mods planned?
Without knowing anything else I would say 62/71 S300 from the supplier of your choice.

This truck has a 14" custom lift kit so towing is out of the question. It pretty much a street queen but we love to tear it up on the street as often as possible..

I want pics tooooooo..........a '97 Chev is what I'm doing/
but would HX40 w/16cm housing do the trick in there with that fuel??
that seems like where I'd like to go with mine at some point too.

14" lift plus big meats will create a lag monster with a big single. Go no larger than a 62mm compressor. Might look into a ball bearing unit or a small set of twins if money allows. Twins will help you break train much more often, probably better off with a slower spooling less torquey single turbo if you want drive train longevity.

What hp engine is it? 50hp sticks aren't all that bad to drive on. I'm sure these 370's are rated for a bit more than that, and it drives well on the stocker. That being said, my SPS62 will be going on it sooner than later, and should give it a good kick in the pants.
