12 Valve Cylinder Head Porting Pics

Got a new loaded head and Joker12V (member) did some porting work Sunday.
Thought I'd share some pictures.

lots of low lift flow by blending from the valve to the chamber!!!! obviously, don't get into the valve job! but blending the valve to the chamber will yield a ton of low lift flow with very little effort

don't forget your trick valve job

We planned on doing some of the blending from the valve to the chamber like you mention

i cut mine a good bit more when i did my dually head. i blended all the guides closer and smoother than you did. but i have no idea if it really made a differance, i added a bunch more fuel and air so who knows what happened. i have a ported head from lone wolf preformace sitting in the shop waiting to go on my little truck. i will to a before and after with that on the dyno to have some real #S.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but what kind of valve job is recommemded on these trucks? I know a 3 angle is pretty standard on a gasser, but is a single or 2 angle better on a diesel? I know that a larger contact area allows more valve cooling and better durability. That's what I was wondering, if you're drastically effecting the durability of the valvejob by having a multi-angle.

Just curious as I'm soaking everything up like a sponge until I find a truck of my own . . .

Take care,
Phill
