My sons friend just bought a 98 12v auto 4x4

1 there seems to be 2 set screws 1 on the afc the other in the afc housing to pump . how are these taken out ? I want to adjust the afc move the plate forward and install a 3000 rpm gsk is there a thread i can look at to do all this, i dont want to go in to the pump but 1 time

You must be pointing at the break off screws.
I usually get the one that holds the AFC (aneroid) to the pump by drilling it out slightly and driving a T-20 tip in the pilot. I use an impact driver to crack the thread lock. If that doesn't work a hammer & chisel will sometimes crack it loose.
Once the housing is off the truck you repeat the same on the rear cover.
