#11 plate with 3gsk???
I ordered a 3gsk spring kit for my 98 12v and the P.O. told me that it had a #10 plate. So I get the AFC housing off and it has a #11. So I'm reading the directions and it says not to install unless you run a #10???? says it will run worse than stock, opinions? has anyone run the #11 with a 3gsk? should I just put it back together and grind my stock plate? need my truck for work and it's down right now. One more question, if I were to put it together without the 3gsk could I slide the 11 all the way foreward until I could grind my plate?

You could lose some power, but that can be fixed by adjusting the governor lever arm; so go ahead and put it in,a nd if it loses power, youll have to adjust your governor lever arm, and if it doesent, then its fine. Mine lost power with my #5, after i put the 3k GSK in, and adjusted the governor lever arm, and now it runs great again.

i run a # 6 plate with the 3k spring kit,it runs great.First installing the gsk i didn't notice much difference until i backed off the star wheel 10 clicks, then the truck came alive, great fuel economy also, usually 22mpg combination of city and hiway driving.
