#10 plate... 96' auto?
Hi there. I'm new to the forum. I'm getting my truck in four days. Its a 96' 2500 regular cab with an automatic. I was just wondering if you guys think the tranny could hold up to a #10 plate. I'll be honest, i'm not a very "light" footed driver. Well, I just wanted to say hi and ask some opinions.

Hmm
10 plate? stock location? fast driver? and a stock tranny, sounds like your tranny is gonna slip and hate you if you do that with the plate forward or in the stock position. Lemme put it to u this way, with the mods in my sig, if i dump the clutch at 2000 rpms, i wont go anywhere, and yes its a stock clutch.
Welcome to DTR! plenty of learning here, so read up and enjoy, and if u must have the 10 plate, try it in a little bit farther back position than stock first.. and add a governers spring kit to really get a kick out of the truck..

I know i'd probably trash the tranny if it was moved forward, But i plan on getting a built tranny within the next few months. This plate is gonna be a little down the road. I'm planning on an exhaust and intake before i do much of anything else. I can play with the stock plate until then.
