I just recall people saying poor mileage can be an indicator of a dieing vp44, but didn't want to jump the gun and scare you for no reason.

Check the tire pressure and brakes then change the fluid in the rear and if that doesn't help just slam it to lessen wind resistance

My mileage has never been great so I've just done all the above and am hoping for improvement. Ok I didn't slam it yet, but its on the list

never thought about the fluid in the rear. What viscosity and what amount?? Also what do you look for on the brakes, if they were hangin they'd be squealin wouldn't they?

If memory serves me correctly, 75w-90 and less than 4 quarts.

I had a shop service my brakes so I'm no help there.

i run 75 lbs in front and 65 lbs in the rear.
most run 65 lbs in front and like 55 lbs in the rear.
that could be some of your problem.
