10 or 100 plate for 215 hp pump?

On my 96 5 sp CC 4x4 3.54 215 horse 3/4 ton, how would 10 and 100 plates differ? Its stock now, but I'm doing 4" exhaust and guages, and have a 62/12 I'm going to run, along w/ a plate and a 3K GSK. I still want to be able to tow 7-8K on flat ground and not have a huge problem w/ EGT's also. Which plate would be better, and does anyone know where to buy a 100 plate, or do they have to be ground? Any templates out there? Thanks

I like my 100 plate better than my 10. I didn't like the defuel at the top end when winding it out. EGTs will be related to your plate position and your right foot. You can have higher EGTs with a 10 plate if its pushed further forward.

I don't know if anyone makes a 100 plate. I made my own. About an hour or so, 5" angle grinder, round file and some emory clothe and it looks great, and runs great.

X2

A #100 is cheap and easy to make. Save your money grind your own and spend the money on 3ks. What clutch are you going to run. stock wont last behind a #100 or a #10

What templates did you guys use to grind yours? I haven't decided what clutch to get, I know I'm going to need one though. Some kind of single disc, because the truck will never sled pull or drag. Are there any differences in plate profiles between the 160, 175, 180 and 215 pumps, if there is I'll buy someone else's stock plate and save mine.

You get get a CNC milled #100 (or whatever other plate you want) off of e-bay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...spagenameZWDVW

Cheap and allows you to keep your stock plate in case you ever want/need to switch back.

Thats who I got my 100 from. The previous owner ground the stock plate to a 0.
I personally like the 100 better. Its my Daily Driver. It seems to driver easier and the egts are down.

Also, the maker of these, makes them from a solid hunk of steel. Its a 1 piece unit.
Very Nice work also.

I have a plate in my daily driver that is not quit a 100 but close. I like mine jus fine. If you drive it right egt's are not a problem. Even pulling 10k pounds mine doesn't do that bad.
