Nope, no grinding necessary.

Depends on which wheel you are using. I tried to put the chrome 05 wheels on my 96 4x4 and they physically would fit and bolt on, but the center caps on the rear would not fit. The axle hub sticks out too far. It was suggested to me to grind down the bolts that retain the axles and they should then clear. I'm unsure if I really want to do any grinding.

Here's a post I made asking about the problem.

Why not use the 96 center caps?

I know the aluminum ones fit fine, they are just a little tight on the hub, but nothing that can't be fixed with some anti-seize around the hub.
For proof see my gallery.

I tried to use my old center caps, but they didn't fit as tight with those wheels as they did on my original chrome ones. I could pull them off by hand and they didn't seat all the way down to the rim. More gap than I would have liked.

Fantastic

Great info! Thanks for the replies everyone. Why is there not a section covering all this stuff on this site? Rim swapping, valve bodies and the like?? Save alot of time on threads like this. Once again thanks.
