01 needs more power
My buddy has a 01 with Bully Dog(I think he said 3 settings) He is wanting to do some more upgrades. He asked if I could help him but I do not know that much about the 2nd gens. But I am sure that you guys could give me some great ideas on how you are making power. Everything from DIY to pumps, anything.

IMO i would get rid of the bully dog and get a tst or edge comp something of that nature or he can wait a little while and get the quadzilla adrenaline. Also what does he have auto or 6spd? with a standard tranny he will need a clutch and also he needs guages.

a smarty/edgecomp or quad adreniline provided he alreaddy has a good fuel system, intake/exhaust, guages and his trans with just the converter can handle it all.
It shure is fun but seems never ending with these trucks ya add more fuel then you need more air then you see what your weakest part of the drivetrain was fix that then you want more fuel then the headgasket blows then ya fix it lol. Im on the same road as everyone else just not quite as far down as some but enjoying the ride

I've got a good combo for my style of driving and it's alot of fun to boot. I figure I'm at about 330-350hp and can tow all day long and not worry about temps plus the XZT+ has an on the fly switch which is really nice.

See my sig for a great set up. It took me about 2.5-3 years to get everything dialed in. I have tried most of the electronic power adders (Edge EZ, Comp and Drag Comp, TST PM3 and a Smarty) and the only injectors you'll ever see in my truck are DDP's.

Being all computer controlled the 2nd gen 24v are similar to the CR, they need programmers to push more fuel, or injectors. For a few hundred bucks you can get a level 1 or 2 injector and get more fuel. Injectors for 24v 2nd Gen are cheaper than 3rd Gen injectors.

I go back under ground with him on Friday and this is what i am going to tell him so far:
BD J-hook
F1 or DDP injectors
Smarty
FASS/Airdog
and if he really wants to spend his coal miner wages then a turbo
Anything else I should add to this list.
