01 Chip on a 00

Saw another post about this so figured it can hurt to ask, I had been looking at getting a bully dog torque dog off another member of the forum, his truck is a 01 and my truck is a 00, the guy at bully dog said it wont work only because the ends are different, is there an adapter I can get to make a 2001 box work on my 2000?

If it is anything like the Edge stuff, which I think it is (I think the Bullydog modules are rebadged Edge boxes?), there is a data link pigtail adaptor that lets you plug into either style of data link connector regardless of the year.....I have the adaptor sitting in my toolbox - didn't need it for my 98.5......oh well, I'm sure Edge sells them cheap enough...

how sure are you on that info? I just got off the phone with someone at edge and they guy said anything they make should have their name on it, but he also told me they dont make any type of adapters or pigtails to change from year to year. I'm not convinced that this guy knew his stuff though that I spoke with. Can anyone point me to a good vendor to go through who knows their stuff and can hook me up with the right pigtail?

Well, there ya go! I forgot 01 was a different part # from 00.....I was fairly sure that the Bullydog was rebadged Edge stuff, though....A few other companies appear to be doing the Edge rebadge thing too......
