$1000 to play with, which turbo????

a buddy of mine finally blew up his HX/35, & is wanting to upgrade. the truck is a 99' 5 spd. w/ edge comp, jammer 5's, 4" exhaust, F.A.S.S. fuel, southbend clutch, with these mods which turbo would you guys recommend with around $1000 to play with, the hybrid 35/40 would most likely be the cheapest, but is it worth the $ to go straight to a super 40, or are there any other choices for the money he has to spend??? thanks, Dusty

He needs to save his money...and buys a Schwitzer variant. HTB2, B, Phat Shaft, or even maybe an HX55. He's got too much fuel for a little hybrid!

You can see that I'm biased by my sig that is in bold, BUT $1000 with your own fabbing can get you close to compounds if not for a little under just depends on resources of parts, then you've got the best of bothe worlds. PS check this out:https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ad.php?t=47503

check the classifieds...there is one for 1150, and another one for 900...both decent turbos for that kinda fuel/power level
