Is it? Then I suppose that all the bad guys that our troops are fighting in Afganistan and Iraq today are a whole bunch of new independents only inspired by his legacy.

Because he's the Democrat version of John McCaine.

Looks to me like he has a conscience and wishes his party would go back to actually standing for something worth while. I applaud him for having the dignity to admit that there is a problem within his party.

Obviously there is a problem with the entire system as it is, but at least he chose to make a stand, and not just "flip flop" around the issues.

The virtuous qualities of a man with honor, transcends the boundary's of political lines as this man proves with his courage.

You say that like you think killing terrorists is a bad thing.

They tried to start the war here on 9/11 I am greatful that we were able to take the war back to them

Should we just let them go so they can fester more hate and evil?

Darn right better there than here, but that was not the point. The point was that at least I, pesonnaly do not think that the terrorists have been chased "to the end of the Earth" yet.

You are reading something into my post I did not say, I NEVER claimed we stopped chasing Osama, I still have friends in Army Special Forces that are chasing him TODAY, thanks to GW.

What in this world gave you that idea, nothing could be farther from the truth. The post was in reply to a post saying that 'we havent heard from him in three years' (paraphrase)

They did no "try" they continued the war against us and as far as I am concerned kill them all. I am with Hoss on the notion of nuking the place. If it would have been up to me by now Faluja and Sadir city would have been large parking lots, yea black topped over and all.

I don't believe you can ever end terrorism. You won't do it with force, ask Israel(heck... Russia for that matter) and you won't do it with diplomacy(compassion if you will)... you can only hope to keep the terrorists on their heels by taking the fight to them. Terrorism against the US and US interests has been going on since the late 70's starting with the taking of hostages in Iran. It escalated into embassy bombings, barracks bombings, the first WTC attack, the USS Cole and others... it went completely(sans a few cruise missiles) unfettered.....

In that case my mistake, I'm sorry for the misinterpretation.

But while on the subject, I think that somehow a more concentrated, better organized effort could have resulted in his capture by now, I could be wrong. I also do not think that the chase for Osama is to GW credit alone, or that anybody else would have not chased him too.
