More pics here:
These were from a thread on greatlakes4x4.com, there was some bad language (thanks for the heads up JKM) so I'll just post the pics.

I'd say he needs about ten more lbs before the bumper hits , it's good to go!
If they just take the log and put it in the front of the bed that should straighten right out!

I wonder if the DOT man would like those pictures.. especially the one with the trialer tag on it. He is sitting on a public road and obviously over weight.

what did he think would happen? 1/2 ton truck, 6k lb trailer - what a dumb EDIT
They could fix the frame by putting the tree on the other end of the trailer
Looking at the pics, why not put the trunk directly over the axle of the trailer? They might as well of put it in the bed of the truck, rather than the front of the trailer.

ok, i gotta say, if that cheby really bent the frame, its a true POS!
I had moved a trailer with my frontier. when we loosened the binders holding the truck I was hauling, it rolled forward against the front of the trailer and pushed by tow bar to the ground. onlything it done to my truck was get the threads dirty

Also the 1500 badge is highly visible.
Some people do think that 'it's a truck, therefore I can load whatever onto it.'
Fortunately, in this case, no one got hurt.
While I do not enjoy seeing people injured or property damaged or destroyed, I do not have much tolerance for the ignorant. And that is what this situation was...ignorant.

My question is, did he try and drive it then?
In this case it wouldnt matter what kind of truck ya had, but it seems to me that Chevy doesnt really have the best suspensions. We have a 99 I think Chevy 1 ton we put a wrecker bed on at work. Cars are ok, but if ya try and pick up a big van, or a pickup truck, the front tires will just about be off the ground, and the rear springs are up into the frame.

You think he would have had him put the weight more over the trailer axles. Seems like it was long enough that he could have had it on the back of the trailer, over the axles and still had tongue weight. However he trailer would have been screwed still but maybe the truck would not have that cool arch in the center!! Stupid is as stupid does........
I could look at that tree and know I would'nt put it on my trailer...
