I consider myself a Country Boy. But yeah, the neck is a little red.

Odds are, if your a yankee, your not a true redneck. Sure, you can act like one, but it doesn't come naturally.
I guess being born in the Land of Lincoln, this would mean me. I have always identified with rednecks. At least I can say yes to about 75% of Jeff Foxworthy's "You Might Be's". I even came up with a new one for him that I think ensure's I'm a Redneck or at least a Hick. "( If any member of your family has ever been married in a VFW, you might be a RedNeck )" and folks that is with patrons of the bar sitting at the bar in the background. But I guess I'm a Hick. (Quote "hicks are sexy guys with big trucks!")

I'll have to agree with that one. Never much considered myself a redneck until I went to the city. As for the big truck with a full cooler that comes and gets you out...been there, both sides. Getting stuck isn't bad, until the cooler runs dry!

i would call myself a neo-redneck. i use proper grammar, listen to metal (in addition to classic country), and wear dickies instead of wranglers.

Most definitely. Not quite the stomp-down grade, but can come close when I've been into the Natural Light. I actually prefer to consider myself as a country gentleman.

If Ya have to ASK...You wouldn't unner stand

it's a way of life

I am a gal, so I just get rescued a lot. BUT I can add to the redneck character: rednecks gotta have-

BIG HEART- and not just from Texas where it comes natural....

TALK car/truck parts better than any store counterman, and know of two people who have them sittin around.....

HAVE been to church; church suppers; worked at the church at least once

will help a friend/neighbor building something if there is food and beer afterwards

wears a belt and has a folding knife in the pants pocket, optional skoal can or cigarette lighter

may talk like a hound dog but is actually sweet and shy with 'THE girl'!

hope that adds a bit of spice to this thread, maybe now MEXSTAN will know a few folks that are---- REDNECKS!

Let's see...I'm sitting here in an Engineering company where every one but me has on slacks, dress shirts, and that other crap. I on the other hand have on carhartt overalls, steel toe work boots, and a handle-bar mustache you could hang your laundry on......yip. I's a redneck too. I'll quit if they approve a dress code around here.

Edit. It came to mind that I have everything on that I had on when this picture was taken that is in my gallery....just a newer shirt. And how many city slickers would be holding a racoon?

Wow, according to Mrs. Wannabe's description of a redneck I am a full fledged redneck. Can't remember how many times I have had to look up the parts, not only for myself but for other customers that had "tough" items to find.

well i meet 90% of that criteria. except for the belt and the car parts, i have had to clarify to the parts people that an Elcamino is a truck.

i also have 400 watts of lights on top of my jeep, have used it to move a 3 stall horse trailer, i know the local auto salvage yard owner by his first name.

i would consider my self to be a redneck.
