Yeah well I was no kid when I straight piped and megaphoned my 5 hp Briggs mower and ran alcohol from the fuel dragster. It too had a blue flame at dusk. I used to love to mow just before dark!!

The night it blew up was spectacular. A great cloud of smoke shot out of the megaphone and ....KABOOM. It blew the rod and half a piston right out the side of the crankcase. The funny thing was that the crank and cylinder weren't hurt too bad. I took it to school and buffed it down a bit and since I was in tool and die class I made a new rod out of 7075 aluminum and made a patch that I J.B Welded to the crankcase and away it went for another couple months.

Man, I thought kickstarting was a pain! Can you imagine yanking on all those ropes just to go riding?! NO WAY!
