Have that done then have it cryoed. It seems kind of expensive though. If it holds up the way they say it will then it should be worth it.

we have another performance shop here in cincinnati that we're friends with. They had a customer with an endless pocketbook, who wanted everything. They heard about this micro polishing and just had his 6speed parts, in a corvette, done. It showed a 15 RWHP gain from not so much parasitic loss. it's alot of money for 15 rwhp, but this guy was in a racing class, and couldn't do much more to the engine, and every advantage counts.

I'm thinking all of the metal internals of the tranny and the engine. I wonder if they can do pistons, or if it would do any good.

i don't know about diesel pistons, or even if that treatment will work in a cylinder. but i do know they make coatings, kinda like teflon (actually i think it may be, on some cheaper pistons) for gassers to reduce friction. i wouldn't do it on any bearing mating surfaces, those areas should obviously already be polished. ALTHOUGH, it may work great at helping reduce windage on the crank. fluids will hold better to a pourous surface than a smooth/polished surface.

True, true. I've seen the coated pistons before. Maybe the valves, valve springs, cam, etc?
