Woke up to this!

I spent the last couple of days out at Glamis. On New Years eve when I woke up I found this next to our camp site. I was able to pull him out easily(him having 4wd helped).

All wheel and no tire to deflate. V8 with all it's power at the top end doesn't help matters either.

Funny thing is I heard him pulling in and revving the engine but I just went back to sleep. He dug himself deep. The truck had a 6'' lift and I think the rims were 22'' maybe 20".

I wish I got the pic of a Ford dually getting stuck with his 5er and another Ford pulling him out buried to the axles. If I did like riding so much I could have just as much fun pulling people out all day.

Having been stuck 3 times in the past week with no help, I know how bad that sucks. Feel for the guy and glad you were there to help him out.

A chunk of carpet or chain link fence really helps out.

I know what it is like to be stuck. Just not with a trailer. It is no fun at all. I actually thought I was going to get stuck myself when I was leaving. I decided to park the trailer going up hill in the sand. I got lucky and was able to pull out.

Glad you helped him out. Only time I have gotten stuck w the trailer ---there was nobody around for miles. I was fortunate and could unhitch, put the chains on and come in at an angle, get re-hooked and get out. Wasnt until later that I remembered somebody on this site (prob madhat) talking about deflating the tires. I even had a small compressor with me.

That two wheel drive Dodge in the background got his trailer in there nicely though!

Gosh, I really miss going out there in the winter. Tear around Oldsmobile for me!

I tried to do olds with the dodge but failed half way. As for the 2wd dodge he had boards under the wheels.

Thats a pretty big TH to be towing with that (or any) 3/4 ton.....

Another reason i love the dunes... Everyone's willing to lend a hand instead of just passing by muttering "sucks to be him".... Good Job Travis!

Now post the rest of your trip pics ... I need a sand fix! Didnt get to go to Dumont for New Years...
