Because he is a redneck freak with delusions of grandeur.... He looks pretty silly wearing those spurs and stuff as well. Spurs look good on a Cowboy when he is riding a horse not on some idiot climbing a ladder spraying a bees nest

That show is entertaining at least. I wonder how long before it goes the way of other TV shows that started off good and went downhill fast (American Chopper comes to mind) when they get commercialized.
