Will always be a Texan at heart... wasn't born there but moved to just south of Houston in 1953 (at the age of 8).. spent 15 of my 24 year in the USAF stationed there, retired there, went to work there for 7 years before I finally ended up in Alabama. Still go to San Antonio once a year to see friends and eat some of the best Tex-Mex there is...

I come from a very long line of Texans. My ancestors’ names are on the wall of the Alamo, and my lineage qualifies me to be a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. One of my ancestors’ was in the group that started the Texas Rangers. So, hell yes I’m a Texan!
I may not physically be there now but my heart is always in Texas, I go home every chance I get.

i come from a long line of farmers. my family moved to the east texas area about 150 yrs ago. we've got pictures of my great-great grandmother from 1910 when she was about 60. her family moved here when she was young from arkansas.
