The only thing I dislike about my Toro is it doesn't hold much when I'm bagging the clippings. Sometimes it feels like I'm dumping more often than I'm mowing.
This is the model I have and other than the bag capacity, I love the thing.

I would say go with Honda. Their engines generally run longer between rebuilds, but if all you are doing is edging, it's probably overkill. There better models are the ones with shaft drive self-propelled, and the hydrostat transmission one is particularly nice.
The downsides are that they are heavy, and expensive. The commercial non-hydrostat self-propelled ones can move too fast for some people's taste, even in low gear. They were made for people who want to get the job done right now.
Their older aluminum decks would sometimes crack when you ran over a dog toy or whatever, and if you didn't stop-drill at the end of the crack, vibration would cause it to grow. Plastic decks on the lower ones now are not supposed to do that.
As a plus, they are made in America, including the motor, where some machines that are an American brand use engines imported from Kawasaki, or from Mexico...

I have a small semi detached house with a small lot...I just hook up a gang mower to the back of my Cummins and drag it around the lot.
Kind of hard on the turf tho...but then again you don't have to cut again it 'till next season....Cheers
