What's amazing is that I don't get ID'd buying a case of shells with a credit card that says CHECK ID where I was supposed to sign it. But I do get ID'd buying Sudafed with cash. Very obviously looking sick.

I usually buy at Academy.

Ever seen a meth head? Very sick looking. You probably looked like the picture of health next to one of them.

My local Sporting Goods store when they have sales.
My local Gun store when they have sales.
Usually buy it a case at a time.
I tried "Cheaperthandirt" one time, but the shipping and ammo surcharges pretty much canceled out any savings over buying it locally.

Guys, did you know that the "Blue Store" is the single largest retailer of ammunition, amongst a few other things I'm sure, in the country?

I agree that the folks, for some reason women in particular, behind the sporting goods counter are rude, but their price is hard to beat.

Wal*Mart if buying by the box, Cabela's if buying in bulk.

I have bought most of Prairie Dog Rounds from Sportsmans Guide(Russian Ammo) But most other times I just get it at Wally World or if it is something special I order from Midway Arms (they are just down the road from me so I can pick it up and beat the shipping)

I like Natchez Shooters Supply for rimfire stuff. Reasonable & quick shipping. Very good prices. They are tough to beat price-wise.

I know about 1/2 of the blue-stores sporting goods employees from outside the store. I get the heads up on discounts and new merchandise coming in at a good price.

I get some for free when they throw me an extra case for pratice.. if I don't make it up to the range then it is the local range that has bulk and a few other little discounts....

Just buy it by the case..

Was able to go out and shoot about 500 rounds today for free, combat course, shotgun course, and turning targets for standard relays.. Just wish they started later than 7am with a 2 hour drive
