When 3500 pounds meets 12000 pounds

This topped off a long and hot day for me back in July....A pedestrian attempted to cross the road infront of me, -without looking- so I jammed on the brakes and then waited for her to cross....After I had stopped completely, and had been STATIONARY for at least 5-10 seconds, this guy comes around the corner a block away..Apparently he wasnt paying one bit of attention, and just drove right into me The impact was hard enough to bend my hitch under the bed...My frame flexed enuf that the bed impacted the back of the cab....Damage to the trailer was minimal....Some people just shouldnt be driving......

Oops.

Glad you're okay.

Want the Toyota driver texting, perhaps?

Glad your ok but the other driver, what an idiot. How you miss your trailer is beyond me. I don't see skid mark from them either. Hopefully they got a big ticket to remind them of their genius behind the wheel.

I bet the first thing out of his mouth was that it wasn't his fault.

You need to get a trailer that is easier to see!!!!!
Hope insurance takes care of you ok.

I have the same trailer but not a goose neck and have had some close calls with people rear ending me. Then, they go by and give me the finger. And I'm doing the speed limit!!!!

Make his insureance company have your trailer painted blaze orange...
Black is an awful hard color to see in the middle of the day...

Have the trailer painter Sublime. After all it is a factory Dodge color.

If you had the tailgate down you woulda gotten a free,,,whatever that is.
In some states, if you rear end someone it's your fault. Make them pay for an inspection. Who knows, it may have caused a stain on your carpet.
