Which wheel - chrome or machined?

I am getting new wheels for the Ram and I am trying to decide chrome or satin machined. Currently I have polished aluminum factory wheels and just want something different. Help me decide.

Both are great looking wheels, but to me the 2nd. one looks just a bit too "busy" to me. I favor the more plain look, along with appreciating alloy for a couple of reasons: I have seen what salt and that horrible Magnesium Cloride does to chrome while not even touching a quality clear-coated alloy wheel, along with generally being about 20#s lighter (per wheel) and while I realize that is not a huge deal to these mighty trucks, my racing background causes me to hate every single ounce of unsprung rotational mass. Just my 3 cents (allowing for inflation).

Great band name...lol

I think I am going for the Satin look. I am not big on chrome either but for the price I was offered...I had to consider them.

Chrome $111
Satin $75

I hope there are no rules against listing prices, sorry if I am in violation, feel free to delete them.

Are you sure they are chrome, or are they chromed aluminum? I would go with the chromed aluminum because they are still light, and do not need polished everyother week.

I would go with the chrome "second one" just because they are way easier to clean, I guess with a mothers power ball the alum ones wouldnt be too bad, but warm soapy water and the chrome one shine right up, my .2c worth

definetly the chrome ones....just spray some of that chrome wheel cleaner on them, let them sit for a few minutes, then hose them off, and they look new! I used to have some polished Welds, and I vowed to never again break my back with polish and powerballs, or flitzes, or any other "as seen on tv" product!

From the look of it the 2nd one is 6 lug, maybe thats the reason for the good price. :d All joking aside, chrome, had them on my old CTD and miss them on my current CTD.
