Vinegar.
Adds a nice tang to various meat sauces such as sloppy joe & spaghetti.
Many years ago, my wife put it in french onion soup by accident. She grabbed the red wine vinegar instead of the red cooking wine. We still add a touch to give it some zip.

i forgot about this,
old farts are supposa eat oatmeal, so i eat it at work, quick easy breakfast.
but the girls in the office have all the foo-foo creamers,
so i put in Hazelnut or Vanilla on the oatmeal.
that's REAL good.

I add two teaspoons of garlic when I make guacamole. No one can figgure out what it is that makes it so great and I've never told until now I give out the whole recipe but leave the garlic out.
