What's it worth? '79 lil red express
I've been playing with selling my "dust" collector toy. I see that NADA has them starting around $8000 for low book to around $25000 high book. This one has been neglected before I got it, but has factory a/c and runs pretty hard. The tranny is weak and the wood is in poor shape. What is a ballpark(or has anyone noticed one selling in their area) for this? thanks, bruce

Lil Red Express was the 1/2 ton stepside Dodge with stacks and wood accented box.....it was factory equipped with a 4 barrel 360 and was actually the fastest thing Dodge made in '79 since the Warlock (440 version of the Lil Red Express with different graphics) was discontinued in '78, I believe.

yep; actually it was the fastest US production vehicle of all the brands in 78 and in 79 I believe only the neutered Vette beat it. I don't have the #'s in front of me, but I think they made about 2500 in 78 and apprx. 4000 in 79.

Ahhh, I've seen those before - - didn't realize what they were called. Cute. Saw a gorgeous '35 Dodge tow truck in Nova Scotia - - looked like new. It had 45,000 miles on it. Yellow and green. Really neat.
