It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Thats what I think I am going to do...no sense wasting the 3-4 dollar stuff if it does the same as the 99 cent stuff.

Does the alky and water dilute the ammonia pretty well? I had the crazy idea of adding some ammonia to my tank once. Couldnt see a thing after i used it...not b/c it smeared, but because I teared up so bad from the ammonia I had to roll down my windows and hang my head out.

If you can find the stuff called "Bug off" I think you'll be happy. I use the cheap stuff and add the RainX additive to it. I haven't found any benefit to treating the windshield. The last time I bought blades I went with the single point type and they're much better than the stock type.

One thing that I really like is when you get one of those BIG yellow juicy bugs that hits the winshield...you know the 4 oz kind
I immediately pull over and toss some tomatoes and peppers on there with it and break out the tortilla chips..... Mmmmmmmmm Good Salsa!

As the title states.
So far I have tried Rain-X and it makes more of a mess even on a basically clean windshield.
I bought some cheap Walmart blue summer wash...about the same.
Got a case of washer fluid from Costco...about the same.
So what kind cleans the bugs off and cleans the dust off without streaks?
I am not expecting my wipers and a washer fluid to clean off dried bugs but when something big hits, it would be nice to clear it, not smear it and have to use a lot of the washer fluid just to get it looking ok.
Changed out the wiper blades a few times as well.
I guess I could try driving in reverse.
