i work on a tow boat on the ohio river, we have these gm electromotive engines on the boat. 2 v16 at 645 inches per cylinder. we can shove 15 barges of what ever you want at 1500 tons a barge of cargo. its a great job, i work 6 months. on a month, then off a month. on the boat i work 6 hour watches, then im off for 6 hours. 7 days a week, for 28 days. you get tired!!

I'm 18 so I'm fairly new to the workworld
. I just started working in the wash bay at a heavy equipment sales and rental outfit. In a few months I should be starting my heavy duty mechanic apprenticeship there. I would be started as an apprentice but the last place I worked at jerked me around and had terrible shop conditions.
Oh and maybe one day I'd like to become a luthier (build custom guitars and fix them at the same time).

Hey ya'll I am new here and I'm just going to jump right in. I am an electrical/mechanical technician (power generators, industrial automation)
I am fairly new to the Cummins engine and I love that diesel power. 96 dodge 12V could use any help you guys could give on adding power.

I'm actually from Nicklesville Va but I work in Kingsport at Eastman. I'm an Electrical Engineer for them, but I have previous experience as an Industrial Electrician and as a Commercial Electrician.
I saw where you work with power generation. Where do you work at? Power generation is always one of my favorite things!
