What would bring back the shine of a faded fiberglass boat?
I was given a jetski last year. I got it running. Tuned it up. Re-upulstered the seat, painted the hood, a couple of other things. It looks good with the exception of the fiberglass being faded. Is there a way to bring back the shine? It sat out in the sun for a few years.

There's a product by TurtleWax called ColorBack that has a mild compound in it along with wax. We used to use it on faded farm equipment and it worked great to bring back the shine. Not sure how it would work on fiberglass.

Check out West Marine .com their selection of oxidation removing and finish restoring products is unsurpassed! I use their Teflon boat polish on everything including and foremost my truck . Expensive , yes but I have found none better thus far!!

The other thing to keep in mind is if the gelcote has been oxidized too much it will not keep the shine. This happen to my other boat. It was outside in a slip during 2 or 3 summers. I did not wax it as much as I should have (once a year is not enough ). I used every chemical known to man to shine it back up only to have it faded after a month or two. That was when I was told to repaint it, the gelcote is oxidized. It was not that much to paint it. I just sold it and bought a bigger boat. I hope yours is not that bad.
