Mornin' All! Clear skies and -0*

Kids off to school and I get a few min. to myself again.... Probly waste it.

ooks like the janitor has done more work with the bucket this week than he has since I started hangin' out here. Maybe some day he'll acctually use it on the floor someday instead of opining about it.... doubtful though...

It's al persective T-rad. They wer predicting -20/30*F for s over the weekend and all we got was 0*F. Not really a bad deal as far as I'm concerned.

Tok the kids on a train ride this week end at the local park. They fired up the old steam engine and used it to pull the passenger cars. Its a 109 year old engine Originally fired by wood but, now runnin' on coal. All refurbished by volunteers.

Here's a summertime pic from the Tanana Valley Railroad website.

From the TVRR website.

The Friends of the Tanana Valley Railroad is a non-profit organization of volunteers that restored and now operates Engine No. 1. Engine No. 1 is an 0-4-0 ST steam locomotive built by H. K. Porter & Co., in 1899. This steam engine was the first locomotive that operated in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1905. Engine No. 1. operates on selected dates during the summertime at Pioneer Park, formerly known as Alaskaland, in Fairbanks, Alaska.
I got some pics of it I think if I can find where Mama hid the camera.

Things to do.... Be back for some later.

What a gorgeous day - - oh my goodness - - just got in from fertilizing the lawn and trying to kill some unwanted green stuff in the lawn. Now the irrigation system can water it in real good tonight. Then the grass will grow faster - - - uhhhh - - - -- huh???? DUH.

Grabbing some ph00 - - poor maid - - no one would come out and play last night. Sorry Scott - - sometimes you kids just have to ammuse yourself.

See ya,

Bob

Lary, there's a 'maple bar' right outside the main entrance door... just make sure to strip the leaves offa the branch before you eat it. Oh, and I hadda mark a spot in the dirt with bright red glow paint for the septic tank man. Just roll the branch around in that fresh paint and you'll be pretty close to 'pink sprinklies'.

Real original poem Red. That the best you could do? You were pretty quiet all night. Either you were busy, (unlikely), or you fell asleep.

Cin's here... let the abuse begin!

chaikwa.
Go figure, the person to complain about my coffee is the Janitor.

Cin's please abuse him some more

Scotty, I like the george foreman in the truck... that's pretty good...
Sounds like you need a break Hat, maybe get the Janitor over there and put him to work for you.

Good afternoon DTR, very slow day in the roundhouse. The Local steel mills are a really cutting back production now, not a good thing. Hope this get better soon, I don't want to see any lay-offs in my shop. First snow flakes came down on my way home today, they only lasted a minute but they were still snow flakes. Hope we get more. Gonna go work on the truck, I'm thinkin a wheel bearing might be goin out on it.

Matt, you better push that tractor out of the way before you start on that wheel. It sure won't be any fun in the cold.
