What does it apply to?
I just came accross this phrase and could not help but wonder if it could be applied to any of our discusions.

Caruana's Key has been photocopied thousands of times. The exact number, like much of the information in the Gemstone File itself, is beyond verification. The contents are classic conspiracy theory: fact mixed with conjecture, blended with error, and expressed with certitude. Yet the document is so gripping and at the same time so obscure, always looking like a twentieth-generation Xerox, it begs credulity, even investigation.

I personaly got it from the americasdebate web site, but yes it was out of a conspiracy theory thread. I do like light reading at night. I do not know who coined tha phrase tho.
