I was lucky

I got back 1000 dollars... Well 982 dollars of it was gone within a week... and all towards insurance, diesel, loan payments, and things needed for school...

I took my $5k and split it in half.
Half went into savings for the transmission, the other half payed down some credit cards and will go towards some lockers and/or shocks.

Just waiting for the weather to clear so I can ride the bike while the truck is in the shop.

ouch that hurts...i think my boss messed up on my withholdings for the year and thats why i had to pay...oh well..i am just going to change my withholdings this year some and see if that helps...i have always seemed to have to pay state for the last 4 yrs or so..nothing big just 10-20 bucks and i think this is the first year i have had to pay federal...thats ok cus i will have an accountant deal with my taxes for the 05 tax season due to the business and what not....fun fun taxes suck and what i wouldnt give to not pay em..but i kinda like my truck and having a roof over my head and all those things that I work my lil butt off for.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Sad thing though is that I only made $3400 and I've got to pay in that much. If I'd a known that, I would have made my boss withhold taxes. I was told I was only gonna have to pay in maybe $300-400. Not $700.
