Re:What do you pay for fuel?

$1.31 yesterday. Flying J at I-435 and Front St. in Kansas City. Unleaded gas at most places is running $0.10-$0.15 more than that.

If I was running the red stuff it would be around .85 - .90.
If y'all need fuel, stop by. I'll make you a deal. Cold beer with each fill up.
[/quote]
SR, did you just set up the tank and get delivered, or did you have to go through any red tape? I just happen to have a couple fuel oil tanks available after getting a new LP furnace for the house. Wondering if they would need an inspection permit to deliver?

Re:What do you pay for fuel?

Diesel prices are artificially high in this area because about half the homes have oil heat. Last winter I saw diesel as high as $2.899! In the summer it drops, and will drop further than it has now. In a month or so I should be paying around $1.50 , same as gas.

Re:What do you pay for fuel?

Red,
If the tanks you have are standard fuel oil tanks, I don't see a problem. I took a 300 gal butane tank and applied the proper fittings.
The local oil company here is great. If you carry any type of GI ID, they give you a discount. Average is ~ .15 to .25 less than pump. They will also custom blend your fuel. Still working out the old information exchange with the salesman. He's getting me additive info that I'll pass along.
One thing he did say about #2 diesel, I can get both low sulphur and high sulphur (agri fuel). None of it is dyed until delivery to the customer. He's supposed to get me a spec sheet.
