We're an all Dodge family now!

Bought my wife a 2004 Durango Limited 4X4. Yeah, it's got a Hemi.

First impression (I've driven it all of 5 miles myself) it hauls butt, stops on a dime, and rides almost like a Cadillac. Loads of room, and we got almost all the bells and whistles. Never had anything with heated seats before. Got my backside all warm and toasty on the way home.

Has lots of gadgets I haven't figured out how to work yet.

Paid dealer's net invoice for it, then DC threw in a $3500 rebate and another $1000 for financing through DC.

Now we'll see how it hold together.......

Congratulations on your new Durango! Just a couple of questions...What did the EPA sticker say was expected MPG and does it require premium fuel? How many gallons does it hold? How much is gasoline/gallon where you are? Thanks, Nat

Hey Cowhand, sounds like we both were looking to earn some brownie points this year... Bought the better half an 04 Durango as well, she just had to have the 5.7L, but she opted for the SLT+ instead of the limited, I didn't bother to question it just calculated the savings and added it to MY 'toy budget'.

Think the sticker said 17mpg/hwy, now almost 2 months old with 1800 on the clock she's holding at 18.4 calculated (I put 1K on her last week driving it to work). Think its got a 25 gal tank, never thought to look, but cost me $50 for 3/4 fillup this morning.

I believe the sticker said 13/18 for MPG. Takes 27 gallons of 89 octane.

Gas here is $2.20-2.40/gallon.

Fortunately, my wife is a domestic engineer and as such, does not have to commute 65 miles each way to work like I do. She drives maybe 10K a year, where I drive 25-30K.

Now that the Honda is gone, my CTD gets better mileage than her car.

I don't have a "toy budget" per se, but seeing as how I just spent $3K on "toys", I was kinda on the hook for something new. She deserves it anyhow, not once has she kicked up a fuss when I wanted to spent $$$ on some gadget for the truck that she neither understood the function nor value of......she just looks at me like this

I ordered $400 worth of parts today to rebuild the front end.....she'll really love that. She asked me why I don't get a new truck, and I told her "Honey, I got too much money into this one to quit now....."
