ok, just for fun I ran mine, and got "17090206.9 bits per second", or 17 megs per second. :-*<br><br>Also said it takes 0.5seconds to download a meg. Storage was 2 megs per second.

Look under tools.<br>Windows comes set up for optimum dialup connection and usually needs a bit of tweaking for broadband.<br><br>Mine was pretty good out of the box, but I tweeked a bit till I found the best compromise of upload and download speed.<br><br>Download is pretty fast, can't remember numbers though, but I can get a megabyte in well under a minute.<br>Upload sucks, worse than 56k dialup.<br><br><br>phox

I tried the dslreports.com, here's what I got at work.<br><br>2056 KBPS Download!!!!!!!! <br><br>and <br><br>1515 KBPS Upload!!!!!! ;D<br><br>Looks like the IT department is doing it's job pretty darn good!<br><br>Just wish I could get some more memory at home and a new cable connection.

Just saw this after shoveling snow all day and moving stuck cars, but don't forget there are 8 bits (lower case b) per Byte (upper case B). <br><br>WRT to bandwidth; Megabits/s do not equal MegaBytes/s.<br>Its more like 8Mb/s = 1MB/s.<br>
