Holy smoke - - and people say they would not move to Florida because of a hurricane????? At least we get a weeks notice to get ready. And hurricanes don't blow at 200 mph. Sorry guys - - what can one say. It is very scary when you see one coming. Lived in Misery for two years - - I remember well. Out driving with my girl friend and we ended up in a culvert hoping the car was going to be there after the twister went by (no, no, no, don't even go there. )

Hope all are safe and minimal damage - - - hang in there, guys.

Bob

I heard the numbers two nights ago for Missouri.
The average tornado season produces 11 tornados in Missouri.
Last year, Missouri had 13.
This year, Missouri has already had 21.
According to these guys

Don't think northern Nevada got many of them twisters.

They've had their share of high wind and flood warnings the past couple of weeks though.
"High Wind" is relative though.

There just isnt any comparison.
A "bad" rated storm in Northern Nevada wouldnt even get attention here in the Midwest.
What appears to be a typical storm here in the Midwest (read severe) would be the mark of the end of the world in Northern Nevada.
Crazy stuff.

Well. storm paths shifted and missed me by about 30 miles...
Gieco they're still heading your way though, the area around Washington and Hanover Ks are getting hammered...the cells are moving NE towrds teh Hastings and Hebron areas. The one realy large tornado is still 20 miles south of Beatrice NE and heading north..been on the ground for almost an hour now,,that is NOT good....

Rich, My ex-sister-in-law from Boston visited here once when a realy "good" T-storm rolled through, she thought it was Armeggedon! Said she had never seen anything like it, and hadnt realized what they meant by "severe storm" when they talked about the mid-west and tornadoes on the news back in Boston...
