This Weather Sucks
Let me start by apologizing to the Mod that noticed my first post about this topic and deleted it. I made the post in the heat of the moment while the tornado sirens were going off and one was touching down less than a mile from the house and I used one of those bad words in it. So, sorry about that. 2 tornados tear up the town 3 weeks ago, a few days later while trying to clean up from that a snow storm hits and now another tornado vists us exactly 3 weeks almost to the hour after the last ones. Who did I make mad on here. Somebody has put the whammy on me. What's next, a hurricane through Central Illinois.

I'm in what's left of Springfield, Il. Both my places managed to miss the fun, but it tore up the area about a half mile down the road. a few blocks of houses are just rubble. I have spent the last few weeks rebuilding fences and barns trying to get friends back up and runnin. One of em got hit by both twisters the first night and and lost all of her fences and part of a barn. Got here a paddock built to keep the horses in while we worked on the rest of it, next one came through a few nights ago and took out part of the paddock fence we just put up. I don't know how but so far not a single fatality reported from either night. All her stock even got through both without a scratch on em.

Been in the Midwest now for about 7 months or so, and Im already tired of this weather.
It would seem that this area has two kinds of non-winter weather. Sunny or Severe.
The skies are either sunny or the tornado sirens are going off, there just doesnt seem to be much in the middle.
Already have a half dozen hail dents in my truck to prove I live in the Midwest!
I suppose its just something I'll have to get use to, but its going to take some time for this "adjustment".

Well, be comforted, todays stuff isint supposed to be THAT bad.....
65+mph straight-line gusts and baseball sized hail in the super-cells...
minor annoyance ....
on edit: unless your in the Joplin-Springfield-Cabool area and the rest of the Ozarks.... in which case ya better stay close to a cave to duck into......
