WATERCOOLER - July 2 - 8

Yet another job left to the janitor... start the watercooler thread. That's ok, it'll have a proper name this week!

's on for those of us that got our butts outta bed at a respectable hour and came to work!

Mornin' alll,

Grab me a cuppa Chaiwka's coffee, got apple turnovers on the table. Good to see someone up and got this water cooler running. With all the name changes, should it be called "scuttle water butt cooler?"
FiverBob, you up this morning?
'nuther hot one today, a buck and change.
Now that Sedona trip is done, the Brins fire is under control, the Coconino NF is open.
Most of today just keep cool. Make a list of things to do before wifey comes home. Maybe do some of them.
Don't want this to be a tipical batchlor pad, "plants dead, but stuff growing in the refrigerator."
No plains for the 4th.
Be safe out there.

I take a cup of jo too, so long as there is still some silverware left to eat it with....... Actually a nice morning out, kinda tired, had to wait till almost 11 o'clock to see 'em make that final left turn, under caution, no way to finish a race......... o well, I guess they spun & crashed enough in the last half hour to make it worth it. Gotta get the coffee flowin as I have a bit of a headache, cafein dependancy isn't pretty.....................

Hi gang,

Yeh, Davey, I'm up - - been up since 6 am. Off to church, lunch out, then home and hit the papers which have been stacking up, plus unopened mail. Wow, just too busy.

The fourthers (is that a word?) are all ready out lighting off the crackers and celebrating. The offshore races started today with qualifying and heats. Then the big one on Tuesday - - sure neat to watch them suckers - - they really move. Back at the repairs in the morning - - still trying to figure out this irrigation system with the zoning - - where are the valves? Wish I had a blueprint of the installation.

Chaikwa - - coffee wasn't bad this morning - - carry on.

Play it cool and don't blow a finger off.

Bob

Thank you, finally, someone calls it by a name I recognize.
Sat the pony motor back on the old R model yesterday after installing the new used piston ($190.00 for a used piston the size of a Briggs 5 HP) in the right side. But, they got it, I need it, pay up or shut up in this case. Not a lot of NAPA's carry pony motor pistons for a 1950 John Deere R model diesel.
Gonna try to put the transmission back on today and all of the jewelery and see if it will fire up. Wish me luck.

Hope the R goes back together without any more problems. I have quite a few hours working one of those. My uncle in Montana had 3 of them. As far as I know, all three are still puttin away.

Have a safe 4th, and if you blow something up, be carful. It's hard to keep us informed with your mitts all wrapped up.

1 pot down, starting another. The folks came up with my grandma this weekend. Went into town for the festivities. Watched the chainsaw/chopping competitions. Might just have to get an exhaust for one of the husky's for next year. Went back for the fireworks last night. Gonna be here for the big-bucks tomorrow. Have a good holiday and watch your fingers.

Greetings from UP HERE EH.

July 1 was Canada Day. Today is the stat holiday.
Lots of blasting and fireworks all weekend all around here.
I had nothing to do with the 3ft bottle rockets launching from the street corner at 3 a.m.

Last week I signed some one year contracts. I signed on for a year to haul RV's from a friends company. After doing a lot of research, the feedback came back as one of the best to work with. Wow, what a bunch of paperwork and inspections and stuff. Started with a background check, drivers abstract, drug test, commercial truck inspection etc etc etc.

Then I signed on for a year with world strongman cup to produce and organize their competitions in North America.

Some of you are probably reading this wondering how I find the time with all this and Scotty Systems. Well, I took the month of June off to determine what I needed to do and what needed to be addressed. Right now Scotty Systems is in a state of evaluation. Many variables have come into play after almost a decade in the business. Manufacturing, supply, costs, blah blah blah are the big ones. Then the time it takes to make it fly. As we await replies from potential buyers and new manufacturers I decided that its much more beneficial for me to seek income elsewhere as opposed to sitting back and waiting for outside parties to do their thing. Whatever way this turns out, I have had fun. When the fun starts to leave, its time to look at it. Irregardless of the decision I make, I will continue to post and chat with friends on here. Just thought I would use up one of my last days off at the water cooler talking about this. Afterall, the boss is not here...yet.

Everytime I read a post from SpeedoBob about his ordeal, I think about how lucky everyone was not to get hit by that lightening that did all the damage.

Then I think about the material he is using for his Speedo's and I think he needs to fess up about the project he had going on there with his electrified neon Speedos on the clothes line.

Have a great holiday everyone.

Scotty

'afternoon all.........just finished wshing the dust off the house from putting fresh gravel down on the driveway yesterday. The BOSS was a little upset that all her flowers were grey...

Scotty, sounds like ya are making a wise choice. If you arent enjoying what you are doing, then whats the point?
With the little one depending on ya, having a set, known income is probably reassuring. BTW, I have heard it wasnt lighting that hit Bob's place......it was a solar flare reflecting off his mettalic neon yellow Speedo.......

Well, everyone have a great holliday and finish up with as many fingers as you started with!!!!!

B SAFE!!!!! cd

I think it was a SOLAR flare and I think that is what he calls his new design.
SOLARSPEEDOBOBS

The little one was part of the consideration. My wife was so piled up with the books and the time we put in chasing down issues with ...lots of stuff it prompted me to look at it. I sure have learned over the past few years that there are some not so legit or above board folks out there.

My wife and baby can go on the trips if they want and we can do that with the way things are for us...I am home more often then when I was running my own hot shot business and we also pay much much less for all the different insurance and registration needs with a group then running solo.

Theres some kind of glare to the south...wheres Bob?

Is it always this crowded around the cooler?

Ugg, hot and muggy, done, be iced mocha time soon. Just got little odd and end jobs to do. Golf kart batteres get thirsty in summer, as does the 5er battery.
Scotty, good to see you stoping by the cooler. Looks like you spent a lot of time searching on what would be best for you and your family. I know that whatever you do you will do well. Giving it your best.
FiferBob, you up yet? Or is this gonna be a lazy day.
Time for me to find my speedo and hit the pool before I start chores. Even have speedo pool slippers.
