Sun's just peaking up over the horizon. Looks like another beautiful day awaits us.
Got daughter and son in laws well pump in yesterday. Only had to pull it out once when someone didn't watch the rope and let it drop down in the well. What's 175 ft of water filled pipe with a 3/4 horse pump hung off one end.
Cane mill is progressing slow but sure. A couple of the journals are pitted pretty bad. Some people just don't realize that's why they were made so simple. You can strip one down in 15 minutes or less. Clean it up and regrease everything then put back together.
The de-rusting process works very well. I brought in a 35 volt DC power supply from work and hooked it up. Current flow through the solution didn't change a lot. ~12 Amps @ 12 VDC vs. ~10 Amps @ 30 VDC. Cleaning is quite a bit faster. A quick trip through the bead blaster to remove any loose scale and throw some primer on it to prevent rust.
Reworking the driveway, again. The last deluge rearranged a bit of the gravel. Put down about 6" of stone near the creek and sprinkled 18 yds of SB2over, under, around, and through it. Maybe the extra 6" rise will keep water from flowing over the top.
Work is crazy. Of 48 people to go through the medical review/fit for duty board last week, 45 were told "thanks for your service, but things have changed since 9/11." Only 3 were retained. Potentially, we could lose up to 20% of our authorized strength due to the lack of communication between the VA and military medical systems. People brought the situation on themselves. After the last deployment, it was almost an automatic 30% from the VA for PTSD. The military didn't have visibility of the VA records. Tax free $$$$$. Deployment time came around and bunches of folks were disqualified due to PTSD and other medical issues. Bye, Bye.
Daylight is a wasting. Got to get busy so I won't miss my mid morning nap.
Y'all be good.

strange lookin day outside, half foggy, half dreary, but the rain is still a good ways off. Good thing I got my pyro in yesterday as today is a road trip to the Petro's in Du Pont PA for a get together with some smoke lovin diesel nuts. tends to be a good get together and a swap meet as well. this will be my first trip sine I bumped the tire pressure up to try to compensate for the price at the pumps pressure on my wallet. I'll see how it goes.

Foggy with bits of sun intermittently trying to poke thru... I guess that makes it 'soggy'? Or 'funny'.
Gotta go cut up a tree that fell in the field so the farmer can plant. Not what I planned on doin' today, but kind of a nice diversion from what I've been spending most of my time on lately.
Ev'ryone have a nice Sunday!

Wife's in the kitchen cooking breakfast so I will report more after a pot of coffee and breakfast.

GOOOD MORNING all you broken sods!!!!!
thought I'd start out with an Austrailian greeting this week!
only realized the time difference when a surprise call last night came in at
1:20AM, from a fellow camel jockey in Austrailia.
Bruce SHORTROUND- whoa, not a good picture with the military powers that be...heheh GLAD that well pump finally found it's place. should have said "here, hold my beer" funny how no one let's go of that ...yikes.
ALWAYS How the heck can you break your powersteering? try hard enough?
Good to see ya, Mikmaze. will that tire pressure concept work on my wallet?
son called last night with 'no start' emergency on his party vehicle (he is the official transporter, non drinker). son went through safety checks, fuses, elec relay connectors, fuel bump shut off switch prior to calling. during brain storming call, it started up- they went on their way. hubby checked this morning, the ragged floor mat had shifted underneath the clutch pedal and detent switch. best kind of problem to fix. LOL
Dually, JBark do well and Best of luck to you fellas!
Chaikwa- good moods don't hurt! and you wanted to sweat more, right?

Mornin... how are things?
Woke up this morning to a quiet house, and I swore earlier I heard my OL's truck fire up... Walked out into the living room... door was open and there were no kids to be found... thougt she left me...
She was just outside washing her truck. I was scared for a moment, she promised to make me breakfast this morning... !
Cleaned up a little, did some laundry, got a few other things to do. Hope I can get off my dead rear end and do some things. Got a few truck things I want to do.
Hey, Scotty! How's it goin?
Rick, please leave the disgrunteled janitor alone...
Chris, thanks for opening the breakroom. Time for some normalcy...
Ma, how are things? LMK...
I'm either gonna take a nap now, or go start my list of things.
Later.

Morning all (well, noon I guess). I'm sitting by the gym at the college picking up the wireless while I'm waiting for my uncle to call so we can go to lunch. He's from the side of the family that lives in Canada, so I don't get to see him often, this will be the second time this century.
